Did you know that...
Bangued High School was established in 1912 and was housed at the Casa Real (site of the present-day Provincial Capitol of Abra). It was renamed Abra High School (AHS) in 1919.
Abra High School was relocated from the Casa Real to its present location in 1927 and later converted into Abra National Trade School (ANTS) by virtue of Republic Act No. 1917 dated 22 June 1957.
It was again converted as Abra School of Arts and Trades (ASAT) by virtue of Republic Act No. 4566 dated 17 June 1966.
Batas Pambasa Blg. 302 was approved on 14 November 1982, establishing a new general national high school named Abra High School.
ASAT was later renamed as Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) - Bangued Campus in 2001.
